Baliem Valley in Papua is one of the tourist attractions in Papua Indonesia, which quite famous.

Baliem Valley is a valley in the mountains Jayawijaya. Baliem valley at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level surrounded by mountains with beautiful scenery and unspoiled. Temperatures can reach 10-15 degrees Celsius at night. This valley is also known as grand Baliem valley is home to the Dani tribe located at the Wosilimo village, 27 km from Wamena, Papua. Besides Dani coexistence several other tribes in the valley the Yali tribe and Lani tribes

The valley is about 80 km long by 20 km wide and is located at an altitude of about 1.600 to 1.700 m, with a population of about 100,000 people.
For foreign tourists, the valley is better known as the Grand Baliem Valley. Valley along the 80 km with a width of 20 km is inhabited by about 100,000 people. Consists of Dani who occupy Wosilimo Village, Tribe Yali and Lani tribe who lived in the next village.
The annual festival which takes place in 1989 was originally a ritual tribal war Dani, Lani and Yali tribe. They do it as a symbol of fertility and prosperity. But over time, the festival not only contains the war, but also other cultural activities.
To get this exotic valley you must first reach Jayapura. And to reach Wamena, there are a lot of flight options, such as Trigana, MAF, AMA, Yajasi, Manunggal Air, or Hercules aircraft. Wamena has not had a land connection with other places, including the Papuan capital, Jayapura.
